- ⎈ spur: you are here. Updated daily. ToDo: Some adjustments have been made to the UI (user interface) at net/network:
- Links to other hobotrain sites have been added to the net/network Welcome page. This change was effected because statistics show that kjdhsjh bijwd dh oih,.nxkjdd jkd;l hd’[pw, dh;dd3o2in.
- The CLI setting for Use Help Message (check to use usr/share/doc/help.html, uncheck to generate command list dynamically) is being reviewed. The dynamic command list confuses some visitors who do not make the connection between the explanation for a command that is supplied in the dynamic command list and the need to enter that command in order to deploy it. The html Help Message simply describes (a more limited set of) commands in a list, which helps tamp down the expectation created by the dynamic list that clicking on a link associated with a command will cause that command to be executed. As of today, the Use Help Message option has been enabled and the dynamic command list is hidden.
- ♨ Tuttle’s Corner: functioning as a GUI for net/network. Updated daily. ToDo: Exciting times around the corner…
- ✈ Monk Falls: a living fiction. Updated Wednesdays. ToDo: n/a Check back later…
- ⌦ postdelete.com: hobotrain network out-takes deletions anomalies. Updated as necessary. ToDo:
- The about postdelete page is completed.
- technorati claim – to be deleted has been moved from net/network.
- Tuttle v1.0rc6 has been removed from postdelete.com for the second time with the decision being made that the Monk Falls entry, Lucky contains adequate release notes for the present version of Tuttle. What remains to be decided is whether to include a placeholder for the article, Tuttle v1.0rc6 with Item Notes containing a link to the relevant Monk Falls entry.
additional notes:
In the haiku, the limitation of language is the object of a concern which is inconceivable to us, for it is not a question of being concise (i.e., shortening the signifier without diminishing the density of the signified) but on the contrary of acting on the very root of meaning, so that meaning will not melt, run, internalize, become implicit, disconnect, divigate into the infinity of metaphors, into the spheres of the symbol. The brevity of the haiku is not formal; the haiku is not a rich thought reduced to a brief form. The measurement of language is what the Westerner is most unfit for: not that his utterance is too long or too short, but all his rhetoric obliges him to make signifier and signified disproportionate, either by “diluting” the latter beneath the garrulous waves of the former, or by “deepening” form toward the implicit regions of content….
